Proving that no insult aimed at our brave men and women in uniform is too extreme, the Obama Regime just announced that it's going to name a new Navy ship after a renowned and infamous child molester. Why? The answer is simple, but be forewarned, if you don't have a strong stomach, you might want to stop reading right now. The honoree in question is the late Harvey Milk. Besides being a sexual deviant who preyed upon innocent boys, Milk was also the first openly homosexual man to serve in public office and, in spite of his evil deviancy, that simple fact has made him a hero to the most radical members of the so-called "gay-rights" community. And to make matters worse, Barack Obama is going to get away with it because far too many of these cowards and betrayers who call themselves elected officials are just hoping that you're not paying attention so that they can just let it happen. Harvey Milk Was Not Simply A Pedophile... He Was A Proud Pedophile. Two weeks ago, Barack Obama's Secretary of the Navy Ray Mabus — who is also acknowledged by the radical gay lobby to be a LGBT champion — announced that he would yet again violate Navy tradition and bend the rules by naming a planned Military Sealift Command fleet oiler, the USNS Harvey Milk. Of course, this latest disgusting display of disrespect isn't Mabus' first trip to well when it comes to slapping the men and women he commands, as Secretary of the Navy, square in the face. Back in 2011, Mabus came under fire for naming a supply ship after the communist icon and radical labor leader Cesar Chavez, and our Republican-led Congress just sat on the sidelines — no big deal, they collectively yawned — and let it happen, and we're not going to let them get away with such cowardice again. We're not going to let them get away with it because Milk's desire to prey upon children was well-known and also well documented by a very favorable biography, written by the renowned gay author Randy Shilts. According to the biography, Milk, while a junior officer in the Navy, would troll the streets at night and attempt to seduce young sailors. But apparently, his real appetite was for teenage boys... homeless teenage boys. One such incident was recounted by the American Family Association: "[W]hen Milk was 33, he took in 'Jack' Galen McKinley, a 16-year-old runaway in New York City 'who was looking for some kind of father figure,' to live with him as a lover. "While Jack was still a minor, Milk moved him to San Francisco. However, when Jack matured beyond Milk's taste for young guys, Milk dropped him. "Jack McKinney was highly disturbed and frequently suicidal after being rejected by Milk. The Mayor of Castro Street records Milk's shocking coldness when told of his former boy lover's suicide threat. 'Tell him not to make a mess,' Milk said. Eventually Jack died in a fall from the eighth floor of a building, in an apparent suicide." It was even reported that Milk falsely claimed that he was dishonorably discharged from the Navy for homosexual conduct because he thought it would help his political career. But when it comes to describing Milk, Tony Perkins with the Family Research Council said it best: "The Navy seems intent on following in the administration's ridiculous footsteps and bestowing a great honor on someone primarily on the basis of his sex life... A life marred by promotion of illegal drug use, sexual exploits, and lies doesn't deserve one of the greatest military distinctions." We are certain that there are some in Congress who will try to tell you that nothing can be done because the naming of naval vessels is at the discretion of the Secretary of the Navy. What they won't tell you is that such discretion stems directly from Congressional authority. According to USNI News, a publication of the U.S. Naval Institute: "In the late 18th and early 19th centuries, the U.S. Navy had no formal procedure for naming ships. It wasn’t until 1819 that Congress passed an act stating 'all of the ships, of the Navy of the United States, now building, or hereafter to be built, shall be named by the Secretary of the Navy.'" That's right, Congress passed an act back in 1819 giving the authority to name ships to the Secretary of the Navy and what Congress giveth, Congress can take away. Some will argue that the Obama Regime is making this move, particularly in an election year, to buy votes from the homosexual community. Don't believe it. The Obama Regime has no need to curry favor with the radical gay lobby. They're already in his hip pocket. Yes, Harvey Milk is considered to be an icon in the LGBT community but Harvey Milk was not simply a gay man. He was a man who preyed upon minors and lived a life marred by the promotion of illegal drug use, sexual exploits, and the telling of outrageous lies. And make no mistake, this insult is directed at you. Barack Obama is doing it to rub your face in the dirt.
